I saw these two children on a beach in Cornwall. They were deep in conversation, although I have no idea what the topic was. It was such a charming sight that I knew I had to paint them. However, the background was rather uninspiring, so I placed them into a more interesting setting.

That is beautiful! The water, the depth, the sand, are so perfect. You really pay great attention to details; For example one can see where the gentle wave dies, after the children. I like that. Exellent painting!!!
